Message From the Principal 17.07.2026

Dear Families,

It has been an incredible final week of term, packed with exciting events, rewards, and celebrations. On Tuesday and Wednesday, we celebrated our Team Rushden Form Points winners with a Domino's pizza party, a competition that has been surprisingly fierce among our form tutors this year! We already look forward to resetting the scoreboard next term.

Our end-of-term rewards assemblies celebrated successes from every form group. Awards included the Most Valuable Pupil (chosen by form tutors), the Head of Year Personal Development Award, Reading Awards, and Duke of Edinburgh achievements. The celebrations continued on Thursday with our Team Rushden Festival on the field, rewarding students who do the right thing day in, day out, with giant inflatable games and ice creams!

Today, for the last day of term, we are finally holding our annual Sports Day. We know the students are going to have a fantastic time competing, celebrating each other's successes, and competing to be crowned champions of their year groups.

Finally, this week saw our students take to the stage for our production of ‘Our House’. It was fantastic to see so many of you supporting the cast in what can only be described as an epic performance! We are incredibly proud of all the students who worked so hard to put on such a high-quality show. Massive thanks also go to our Performing Arts team for their tireless dedication in giving our students access to these amazing opportunities.

Building Works Update

Work on our temporary classrooms remains firmly on schedule. We will continue to update our community over the summer break at key milestones. We would also like to thank everyone who has been in touch to support our drone photography! We will be sharing some of these incredible aerial shots on social media over the holidays to give you a bird's-eye view of the progress.

Reading Reminder

Please remember that students retain full access to our E-Platform system over the holidays to borrow digital books. Students were recently shown how to access the platform during assemblies, and the link is readily available via the library page on the school website.

Eco Presentations

We would like to congratulate all the students who presented their Eco and Sustainability projects to our guests last Friday. It was inspiring to see how passionate and thoughtful our students are about the environment and how we can develop our school site and wider community. Our students presented their ideas to local community leaders, including the Rushden Mayor, Gen Kitchen MP, and members of the Rotary Club.

Thank You!

Finally, I want to thank you all for your continued support over what has been a rollercoaster of highs and lows this academic year. Your partnership with the school community is truly appreciated, and we look forward to continuing our work together.

We hope all our families have a wonderful, relaxing summer break. We have sent a separate email containing key information for the return to school, so please do read through it in preparation for September.
