Message From the Principal 05.06.2026

Dear Families,

We hope you all enjoyed the Half Term and made the most of the amazing weather! We have so many events and activities planned for this half term which we are extremely excited about, and we look forward to sharing these with you over the coming weeks.

Upcoming Events:

Next Week: A group of Year 7 students will be visiting the NEC for the Big Bang Fair.

Thursday (Next Week): Our 'Wear Something Pink' fundraising day to raise funds for a memorial.

Next Week: Year 10 students will be visiting Warwick Castle as part of their KS4 History course.

Friday 26th June: Annual Sports Day.

Tuesday 30th June: Culture Day.

Duke of Edinburgh:

A small group of students working on their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award completed a practice walk today, in preparation for their overnight expedition next month. We look forward to sharing some pictures from their walk very soon!

Ethos Family Support Events:

We have a number of exciting new events taking place between 22nd June and 25th June. These sessions include:

  • Coffee mornings in the local community with Jenni, our Family Support Worker.

  • Workshops focusing on how to keep your child safe online.

  • Sessions on supporting your child’s attendance at school.

  • Workshops on how to improve family relationships.

We will also be providing families with food parcels to support them. If you wish to reserve a food parcel, please contact Jenni King at .

Staff Adverts:

We are pleased to announce that we will be opening an additional provision in September to support students who are struggling to attend school due to emotionally-based school avoidance (EBSA). This will provide a structured reintegration pathway to help students get back into mainstream lessons. We are currently recruiting staff to deliver this provision; please check out the adverts on our school website and social media channels.

September Plans (Temporary Accommodation):

We are continuing to work hard to finalise plans for September regarding our temporary accommodation. Following some recent ground surveys, we have been advised to avoid using certain areas of the site. We are now in the process of finalising alternative arrangements for the placement of the temporary classrooms.

We are confident that we will have an update for all families in a few weeks. We are still working hard behind the scenes and remain fully committed to ensuring that students will be accessing the temporary accommodation from the start of the next academic year.

Thank a Teacher Day

On June 17th, the Department for Education is celebrating all staff who work in schools. They are providing families with the opportunity to send a personalised message to a member of the team who has made, or is making, a difference to your child. This is a great way to make someone's day and acknowledge the amazing work our staff do every day.

If you wish to send a message, please click here to access the Thank a Teacher service.

We hope that you all have a wonderful weekend, and we look forward to seeing all students on Monday, ready for line-up at 8:25am.

Yours sincerely,

Mr. J. Firth

Principal
