The National Collaborative Outreach Programme (NCOP) brings together 29 partnerships of universities, colleges and other local partners to deliver outreach programmes to young people aged 13 - 18. The programme is funded by the Office for Students, who in turn are funded by the Department for Education.

NCOP focuses on 13-18 year olds living in particular geographic areas. NCOP uses research on areas with an unexplained gap in participation in higher education to determine where investment can be targeted to boost the numbers of young people from these areas going into all forms of higher education.

NCOP have been working with your child’s school since September 2018 and have been able to plan and provide many opportunities to the students through a variety of activities including Radio Traineeships, Big Bang, PET-XI, Medical Mavericks, Mad4Life, Routes into STEM, Car Crash Careers and many more.

For more information about the free events generally on offer to schools, please look at our website; www.pathwaystohe.ac.uk

When entering the website, you will be asked to enter your home postcode. We only ask for this information to ensure that the information is reaching the correct people.

These events don’t always have to be organised through the school and you can book events for your child that occur outside the school day using the link provided or email your NCOP contact directly below. Free transport can often be arranged for your child to participate. On the website, you will also find a lot of useful information regarding routes into higher education.

If you would like to be kept informed about current and future events that occur outside of the school day or during holiday time, please sign up for monthly email notifications by returning the slip below to the school office. These notifications will come directly from the NCOP team and not your child’s school.

Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Dr Deborah Patton This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. who is the school’s NCOP Coordinator.
