Assemblies this week have been about what it means to belong to a team, valuing differences between people because we all have different skills, no-one has a perfect set of skills and it’s important to have a range of skills; to know the rules, the Team Rushden expectations, Ready to Present, uniform expectations and then knowing the goals: good behaviour so we can LEARN, good teaching so we can LEARN, achieve great GCSE results, participate in outstanding physical and dramatic events, compete and win competitions and go on fabulous extra-curricular trips.

Thank you to parents who were able to attend the The Tove Trust presentation on Tuesday evening, there is a presentation available for parents that could not make it and if you have any questions please do make contact us. Their straight talking approach and wealth of experience stands Rushden Academy in good stead. As you are aware from recent Ofsted monitoring visits we are on track and making significant improvements. Once we join with Tove Trust it will be business as usual for us but with the added luxury of getting sound advice, support, challenge and resources. Team Rushden have made major improvements but we must continue to grow; already outstanding Tove Math’s and Science specialists have visited and will be continuing to link with us to add capacity.
